Joanna Modes: Introduction Story
Hello everyone,
I'm Salyvana and I've decided to try my hand at blogging because I've always had a knack for writing. For a long time, I wasn't sure what to write about, but recently I came across a book called Disputed Princess of Svaneti by Beridze, which inspired me deeply. The story of Joanna Modes, or rather Joanna Bagration-Mukhraneli — born into a princely aristocratic family and transformed into Joanna Modes — truly captivated me.
The book was so fascinating that I found myself reading it with the interest of a gripping crime novel. I highly recommend it; it's available at the National Library, even in the original Georgian. I know the Georgian version contains more spicy details, which, unfortunately, the European — specifically the German — side of Joanna Modes' family tried to block.
I'm really impressed by Joanna. She comes across to me as a warrior woman — a genuinely cool lady. I've noticed the media rarely writes about her, so I've decided to seize this opportunity and start writing about her, as if I've found my niche.
I hope you'll enjoy my blogging style. Feel free to contribute by sending me photos or any juicy tidbits about her life. I've tried to get in touch with Joanna myself, but I hit a wall — or rather, her very unpleasant personal assistant, Ms Sara. I won't say much about that now, but I'll describe it in one of my next posts.
Now, a few words about Joanna Modes:
Her real name is Joanna Bagration-Mukhraneli. She was born on 21 May 1985 in Szczecin, Poland. She changed her name to Joanna Modes in 2009. Joanna is of Polish and Georgian descent, with noble roots. Her family is linked to the Bagrationi dynasty and the Prussian von Tiele-Winckler family. She changed her name following a period of legal and personal struggles related to her family and career choices.
Joanna didn't give up. She refused to live by rules and restrictions imposed on her. She became an actress, launched her own bikini line and beach cosmetics brand, and even caught the eye of Formula One driver Robert Kubica.
That's all for now!
